Wood fuel is proven beyond any reasonable doubt to be carbon neutral. Unlike the common belief amongst peers, wood burning doesn't increase atmospheric carbon dioxide levels. Though wood logs will obviously emit carbon dioxide while burning, the carbon discharged will be counterbalanced by the growing trees. This is a fact since trees absorb carbon dioxide and emit pure oxygen which aids minimize the levels of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere.
When thinking of modern versions of a fireplace necessity, the log holder comes to mind. The older styles did the job of holding wood beside the hearth but not too close to the fireplace to allow for ease in keeping a fire going with more wood. Now, not only will the holder do just that, it will come in two pieces to make the job even easier to bring the wood inside.
While operating, it produces a rumbling sound that may disturb someone. And lastly, it needs a regular maintenance in order that it will work efficiently. While we are using the device, we are encountering its advantages and disadvantages. It's up to us the users to benefit from the advantage and look for a solution for the disadvantages in order that it will not entirely hassle our comfort.
